leg-shaped head.

At first glance, starfish seem to be all limbs. So where did the head go? Textbook descriptions of echinoderms — starfish and their relatives, including sand dollars and sea urchins — tend to say this part of their body simply evolved away. But new research in Nature suggests something far weirder: starfish are almost entirely head.
